One person, a pile of small apps, and an inbox that actually gets read.

Behind the jokes: inspiratioNULL builds native, privacy-first apps for Apple platforms. No telemetry, no tracking, nothing leaving your device — just focused tools that each do one thing well. I read every message, and if something falls short I'll do my best to make it right.

excuse the void.

How the work happens
01

Something specific breaks

Every app started as a small, oddly specific annoyance — a broken symlink, an unsearchable man page, a photo the file system had already given up on.

02

Nobody had bothered

I go looking for the fix, find a shell one-liner and three abandoned forum threads, and conclude that this is apparently mine to build.

03

It ships properly or not at all

Native, sandboxed, through the App Store whenever the platform allows it — even when that costs months. When it can't be, the reason is written down.

The one promise

Nothing about you is interesting to me.

Aside from you being awesome, because you're here right now. :*

No analytics, no crash pings, no "anonymous usage data", no accounts. This is one rule that compromise would literally never happen.

Whether or not apps are being malicious or not is besides the point. I have Little Snitch with alert mode on for all new requests, by endpoint, not by process. The way I see it is, it's not my fault, or Little Snitch's fault if the alerts are annoying, it's the app who's making the requests that is annoying. Unless it's a web browser or some other similar app where you expect an infinite amount of requests, there's very little reason to enable all for the entire process. Enough of these alerts will make me completely delete an app without question, or block all telemetry endpoints specifically, and tediously. If you do too, you will be delighted to see every request makes sense: Most apps never touch the network at all; the ones that do, it's obvious why, such as LabsFX connecting to a Google.com domain, and only that domain.

All of this means I genuinely don't know what's broken unless you tell me — use the message interface below to message us directly, it does so anonymously, completely, you can leave an email if you want a follow up. Note: if it says you have been rate limited, you might be connected on a campus or some other organization where multiple people are sharing an IP address. Apologies for the inconvenience it's spam protection, in that case you should use the contact link and email us directly.
